Einkehr challenge REGULATE · runs until 8 November · join any time

REGULATE: from Munich to the top of the Zugspitze, together.

Four weeks, one question: how do I find my way back from constant tension? Regulation doesn't mean being relaxed all the time. It means being able to come back. We picture the month as a climb: from Munich at 519 metres to the summit of the Zugspitze, Germany's highest peak, at 2,962 metres.

Einkehr is what Alpine hikers call stopping at a mountain hut to rest. For us it also means turning inward: pausing, breathing, coming back to yourself.

You can join at any time. For the days you missed, you are credited with metres climbed.

The Einkehr challenge, running until 8 November

Every day, 5 to 10 minutes

A short energy training in the morning, a calming breathing exercise in the evening, and one evening question. Each week Julian and Timotheus add a new exercise.

Every Wednesday

In the morning, the weekly letter with the goal for the week and three questions to reflect on. In the evening at 8 pm (CET), thirty minutes live, alternating breathwork and energy training.

Once a month: our Fireside Circle

Online on the Alm. We get to know each other, breathe together and hear what is on everyone's mind. The next one: Wed 11 November, 19:00.

The four weeks

Week 1
14–20 October
Understand

What constant tension does to you, and how you find your way back. We kick off with the Fireside Circle on the Alm.

Week 2
21–27 October
Experience

Feeling regulation in your body. Wednesday live: breathwork with Julian.

Week 3This week
28 October – 3 November
Practise

Bringing it into everyday life, for example with one evening without screens. Wednesday live: energy training with Timotheus.

Week 4
4–8 November
Integrate

Looking back: what are you taking with you? Plus eating for steady blood sugar. Wednesday live: breathwork with Julian.

Metres climbed, not points

Everything you do for yourself takes you a little higher. The app is optional; you can do it all without it.

  • Breathing exercise
  • Energy training
  • Evening question
  • Reflection
  • Weekly letter
  • Fireside Circle
  • Wednesday live
  • Sleep and steps (app, optional)

You won't walk alone

We draw rope teams, usually pairs, matched by where you live and your age. In a rope team, your metres add up together. The summit board shows how far we've come as a community, with no individual leaderboard.

The summit

Reach the Zugspitze by 8 November and your figure on the Alm moves up a level. If you don't quite make it, you lose nothing: there are no deductions, and in November we carry on with the next theme.

To be honest: REGULATE is a shared practice programme for everyday life, not therapy and not treatment. It doesn't promise to heal anything, but it does help you keep going.
